The 17-year-old who was previously on trial at West Ham, trained alongside Tahith Chong and company under the watchful eye of academy boss Kieran McKenna.
During his time at Carrington, he met both Jose Mourinho and Zlatan Ibrahimovic and even took a tour of Old Trafford.
The teenager has already made two appearances for Czech Republic's under-18 side.
An exciting prospect, Kovar has signed a professional contract with the club and will soon join the ranks of the Academy, specifically with Kieran McKenna's impressive Under-18s team.
Mourinho, traditionally, does not do business in the mid-season window and confirmed last week that Alexis Sanchez would be United's only first-team addition in January.
