Keylor Navas: If a goalkeeper arrives in summer then I'll compete with him
Real Madrid's goalkeeping position is one which is always discussed during transfer windows and it was no different in January, when Kepa was linked with a move to the Estadio Santiago Bernabeu before deciding to stay with Athletic.
Yet Keylor Navas has stated that he wouldn't be too concerned if the capital city club signed another shot-stopper in the summer.
"I am calm because one day I will have to go," he said after the 2-2 draw with his former side Levante on Saturday evening.
"Nobody will last for ever and only God knows when [I will leave].
"I give my all in every training and in every match, so I have to live with that.
"I don't know if the club have doubts about me, I only know that I still have a contract and I will remain calm.
"If Real Madrid were to sign a goalkeeper in the future and let him compete with me then I would like that and it wouldn't intimidate me."
As for the poor Saturday evening result and the difficult season as a whole, the No.1 called for concentration.
"This has not been an easy year and we've had to put up with a lot," Navas said.
"The team has tried to move forward, but it hasn't come off.
"All we can do to move forward is to work.
"We know we must concentrate for the entire 90 minutes to win.
"I think this is a moment to be together.
"I hope that the fans that go to [the PSG match] will believe that we can move forward, as that's what we need right now."
The PSG first leg that Navas mentioned takes place on February 14.
