A damning report by TheSun UK has revealed that thousands of young girls and women in Russia are selling their virginity after finding rich men online who are willing to pay for a night of passion.<br />
<br />
In some cases, these girls place their own advertisements on forums and dating websites, announcing that they are selling the “right to the first night” to “adult, affluent man”.<br />
<br />
A 19 year old girl from Moscow naming herself Milana Mercer stated in a typical online advertisement:<br />
<br />
"Selling virginity, please send me a private message. I am from Moscow."<br />
<br />
Another shocking advert claimed to be from a girl aged just 17-years-old who is selling her virginity.<br />
<br />
While one other post boasts:<br />
<br />
"Marina sold her virginity for 1.5 million roubles (£18,900), and bought a great apartment.”<br />
<br />
In some other cases, networks of specialist dealers and scouts actively recruit virgins and link them to wealthy businessmen.<br />
<br />
These dealers make money off the recruit by taking a slice of fees which can range between a few hundred and tens of thousands of pounds.<br />
<br />
SunUK reports that Russian social media forums with names like 'Bad Girl's Club' and 'Desperate Virgin's Club' try to attract young women who match what the pervy men want - offering sky-high prices.<br />
<br />
One post on 'Bad Girl's Club' says:<br />
<br />
"Looking for virgin girls under 19….Smart, beautiful, charming, from any cities in Russia. We pay tickets to Moscow and back, 1-2 days….Type of girls - as on the photo” - (which shows a girl in lingerie in a revealing pose on a bed.)<br />
<br />
When asked why they have chosen to sell their virginity, SunUK reports some women said they are taking the seemingly drastic step out of desperate circumstances.<br />
<br />
A 20 year old called Anastasia from the industrial city Magnitogorsk told Bumaga lifestyle website she is currently offering to sell her virginity to help pay for cancer treatment for her mother.<br />
<br />
She is waiting for an offer of 300,000 roubles - or £3750 (about N1.9million).<br />
<br />
18-year-old Lena from Moscow said:<br />
<br />
"Instead of just losing my virginity, it's better if I make some money from it."<br />
<br />
A woman who seven years ago sold her own virginity for £7,000 (N3.5million) to pay for plastic surgery, now works as a manager for other girls in the same position she was once in.<br />
<br />
Teams of scouts help to recruit suitable girls.<br />
<br />
The report said:<br />
<br />
“On average girls are paid 200,000-300,000 ruble (£2,500 to £3,750).<br />
<br />
Payment depends on age and appearance.<br />
<br />
“The perfect type is 17-to-18 years old, short, very cute and modest.<br />
<br />
“On average every manager sells up to 10 virgins a month, earning around 300,000 ruble (£3,750) a month.”<br />
<br />
Some 20-to-50 per cent is added to the price as the agent’s fee.<br />
<br />
Those selling their virginity are expected to show a medical certificate confirming they have not had sex.<br />
<br />
And the prospect of earning a lucrative sum reportedly lures many girls to sign up.<br />
<br />
In 2016 model Anna Feschenko, 17, flew to Dubai aiming to sell her virginity for £9,600 (N4.9million) to a wealthy Arab man, according to her travelling companion.<br />
<br />
Anna’s mother contacted police and the teenager returned from the United Arab Emirates.<br />
<br />
She did not comment on whether she had in the end sold her virginity.<br />
<br />
Her friend called Ekaterina said:<br />
<br />
"It is a privilege in the UAE to be a virgin. I think Anna was just impressed with the amount of money she could get.”<br />
<br />
In a recent case, a mother was detained for seeking to sell her 13 year old daughter’s virginity to a businessman.<br />
<br />
Irina Gladkikh, 35, an estate agent,  flew from Chelyabinsk to Moscow with the underage girl in order to sell her “first night” to a “rich client” for £19,100 (N9.7million).<br />
<br />
In a video confession she said:<br />

“We came to Moscow to get to know a rich man, in order to get financial help for providing sexual services by my daughter."<br />

As the Nigerian Peace Corps battles the Nigeria Police to vacate its national secretariat, the legality of the organisation might have run into trouble as the President has not assented to its establishment bill, which was transmitted to him last year.<br />

Saturday Vanguard learnt from competent sources that President Muhammadu Buhari, apparently bowing to security advice, has not appended his signature to the NPC Establishment Bill, which was officially sent to him by the Clerk of the National Assembly, Mr. Sani Omolori, in the last week of December 2017.<br />
<br />
<br />
Findings by Saturday Vanguard indicate that the 30-day window under, which the president should sign a bill duly transmitted to him elapsed on January 31, 2018, leaving the National Assembly with the only option of mobilising two thirds of its members to veto the president’s rejection of the bill.<br />
<br />
By implication, the Presidency has thrown out the NPC bill and the piece of legislation okayed by the two chambers of the NASS can therefore not be cited as a law in Nigeria and the outfit does not have the legal backbone to continue to operate as a legal entity unless the NASS mobilises two thirds of its members to override the president.<br />
<br />
<br />
A top Presidency official conversant with the matter, confirmed to our correspondent last night that the President could not have assented to the NPC bill because there was no need for such an outfit under the Nigerian security architecture.<br />
<br />
The source said, “By implication the bill has been rejected by Mr. President since he did not sign it into law within the stipulated 30 working days.<br />
<br />
<br />
“By law, the Nigerian Peace Corps Bill will not fly in Nigeria as the President has not appended his signature to it within the period prescribed by law,” the official explained.<br />
<br />
Asked what could be done given the fact that the courts had ruled that the embattled security outfit had the right to operate as a voluntary organisation in Nigeria, the presidency official said that the organisation must first derive its legality from the law of Nigeria before functioning as an entity of the law.<br />
<br />
But reacting to the development, the Spokesman for the House of Representatives, Abdulrazaq Namdas, said the members would wait patiently for President Muhammadu Buhari to write the NASS on why he would not append his signature to the bill before deciding on what next step.<br />
<br />
Namdas told one of our correspondents that the lawmakers were aware that the president was in the habit of giving reasons whenever he rejects a bill sent to him by the NASS.<br />
<br />
“But if we wait up to a certain time and the usual excuses we expect of him does not come then the House may take a further action to override the president.<br />
<br />
“If you remember just last week he returned three bills stating the reasons he refused to sign them into law,” Namdas said.<br />
<br />
It will be recalled that the NPC has been having a running battle with the Nigeria Police since it came out as a security outfit but not yet licensed by the Federal Government, culminating in the sealing of its national headquarters in Jabi and the arrest and detention of its leaders by the NPF.<br />
<br />
The running battle between the NPC and the NPF has also resulted in a lingering legal tussle between the two groups, with the court asking the police to pay the NPC N12.5 million as compensation, an order the police are yet to comply with.<br />
<br />
<br />
The police have also refused to quit the headquarters of the NPC despite repeated court orders.<br />
<br />
While the Senate passed the bill on November 25, 2016, a conference committee of both chambers was inaugurated on December 8, 2016, to harmonise the bill.<br />
<br />
The House of Representatives laid and adopted its conference report on January 19, 2017, while the Senate adopted its report on July 25, 2017.<br />
<br />
But on February 17, 2017 the police stormed the National Office of the NPC and arrested the head of the organisation, Dickson Akoh, and about 49 other members.<br />
<br />
The police accused Mr. Akoh of using the Peace Corps, which was registered as a non-governmental organisation, but operating as a para-military agency, to fleece innocent young job seekers.<br />
<br />
Mr. Akoh has however denied all the allegations and has since been granted bail by the court.<br />
<br />
Meanwhile, CHAIRMAN, Senate Committee on Media and Public Affairs, Senator Sabi Abdullahi, APC, Niger North has said that the Senate will do what the Constitution specifies in case Mr. President refuses to assent the Peace Corps Bill.<br />
<br />
He said that the constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria provides for what should be done if a bill passed by the National Assembly, transmuted to the President for assent did not receive the assent of the President.<br />
<br />
“For me personally I see it as a very good thing; it is not new to Nigeria but it is happening in many other countries so that was why in the first instance, the National Assembly supported it.

The cold war between the national leader of the APC, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the embattled national chairman of the party, Chief John Odigie Oyegun played out at the national secretariat of the ruling party on Wednesday when the former visited the national working committee led by the latter.<br />

The former Lagos state governor was last Tuesday announced as chairman of a reconciliation committee by President Muhammadu Buhari.<br />
<br />
Addressing the gathering of his guest and his colleagues in the national working committee, Chief Oyegun feigned ignorance of the assignment Asiwaju Tinubu has been saddled with as he pleaded to be informed of the terms of reference of the troubleshooting team while equally assuring the former Lagos state governor of his leadership support.<br />
<br />
Oyegun said:’’ I welcome you here, there is no question at all that there are major issues in the National Assembly, major issues in Kano, Kogi and Benue which is the current challenge.<br />
<br />
‘’We promise to make your assignment the most successful one, you are most welcome and I know you are here to brief us and tell us how you want to proceed and how we fit into the picture and the way we will take it up.’’<br />
<br />
In his response, Tinubu declared that President Buhari was worried about the crises rocking certain state chapters of the party across the federation. He further said, putting the party in good shape in those states was imperative ahead of the 2019 general elections. He also stated that while the crises in states chapters were known to all and sundry, he would be willing to hear from Chief Oyegun if the national secretariat was also embroiled in crisis.<br />

He said: ‘’ It is a great honour to be before you as one of the leaders of this party. I am here to consult since you are already aware of the directive and announcement of the President who is the leader of our party and the President of this country.<br />
<br />
‘’I came here for consultations.<br />
<br />
Consultation, since you are aware of the assignment given to me by the president and I, am all ears to listen to various challenges that we have. We have this party and we all worked hard.<br />
<br />
After the last convention of the party, congresses were held from various wards to elect representatives from the ward, local government and states levels as well as the national level.<br />
<br />
‘’We worked hard for victory. We have never governed before, but we won the confidence of Nigerians to govern. We have a creed to really serve the country, change and reform the country. It is not easy to have those changes implemented like instant coffee. We have to grow it and face challenges. I sympathize with us and we should equally look at ourselves.<br />
<br />
Since we won the election, the expectations were very high and the goodwill was extremely high. But where are we today? The solution is to seek opinion and advice on the various complex around some states or if there is any national one, to reconcile, move the party in a cohesive manner and reposition if any and build the confidence in ourselves.<br />
<br />
‘’The challenges faced by our government and the president is enormous. It is only because people are not paying attention to the various statistics that are available and we have to push that I won’t touch those areas yet. The challenges of security, the challenges of reforms and re-engineering the finances of this country, stopping the corruption and challenging the status quo to change and reform ourselves is there. It doesn’t go away overnight.<br />
<br />
You work on and work hard at it. For us, we have been patient, we have persevered to have this victory, but how are we now? We should equally face the immediate medium and serious challenges that politically, we will be facing.<br />
<br />
I believe that our party is the hope of Nigeria to improve quality of lives and we will do that.’’ The meeting later dissolved into a closed-door session.<br />
<br />
Speaking with newsmen at the end of the meeting which lasted for almost four hours, Asiwaju Tinubu said he came to the party national secretariat as part of his consultation.<br />
<br />
National Publicity Secretary of the APC, Mallam Bolaji Abdullahi said the party national working committee was ready to cooperate with the former Lagos state governor to ensure the success of his assignment.<br />
<br />
‘’ We are all happy to work together, we are delighted that Asiwaju has been given this assignment as our leader and we are all ready to cooperate with him. In this meeting, we all made it very clear that we want to work with him and we want to work together and the national chairman said whatever way we need to support him in this assignment, we shall all do.’’<br />
<br />
Asked on the terms of reference of the Committee, Mallam Abdullahi ‘’said the terms of reference was very clear. To look at areas of the country, where we have issues. As a political party, definitely, we must have issues. We know what the issues are. So, the terms of reference are very clear. Where we have the disagreement, we must make amends as we prepare ahead for the next election.’’<br />
<br />
On the composition of the troubleshooting team, the party publicity secretary, however, said ‘’only AsiwajuTinubu knows those to work with.<br />
<br />
He has been given the assignment, he is going to decide how to run the assignment. He has consulted with us and we are going to work with him.’’<br />
<br />
Nigerian Tribune checks revealed that the former Lagos state governor and the national chairman of the party had in 2016 engaged each other in media diatribe following the controversy that trailed the Ondo state governorship primary that produced Rotimi Akeredolu, the incumbent governor as the party standard bearer for the November 2016 election.<br />
<br />
Tinubu in a scathing statement entitled, “Oyegun’s Ondo fraud: The violation of democracy in the APC,” demanded Oyegun’s resignation.<br />
<br />
The former Lagos state governor said the APC’s democratic credential had been dealt a big blow by Odigie-Oyegun’s conduct, especially with his handling of the outcome of the Ondo State governorship primary. He said the APC was a party borne out of the quest for democratic good governance, arguing that the ideology was currently under a critical threat ‘’by those who managed to be in the party but were never part of it.’’<br />
<br />
“If the party can not justly govern itself, it will find it difficult to establish and maintain just government throughout the nation,” he said.<br />
<br />
On October 8, 2016, few days after his meeting with President Muhammadu Buhari at the Presidential Villa, the APC National Chairman released a full response to the allegations levelled against him by Tinubu, over the outcome of the Ondo State governorship primary election.<br />
<br />
Oyegun, in a rejoinder he personally signed titled ‘The Facts – 2016 Ondo State APC Governorship Election Primaries,’’ described the content of the widely publicized statement by the media office of Tinubu as “reckless and baseless.”<br />
<br />
Oyegun said he was angered by the false accusation of corruption, rigging the outcome of the primary and overruling the party’s National Working Committee (NWC) “vote” on the Election Appeal Committee Report.

I've built castles in the sky about love which I've once lived in tho.. tha was 6 years back but after that particular relationship, I've had to manage without the kind of love I truly want.<br />

Fast forward to two years back, dated this girl whom I did not love but felt too bleeping lonely so I shot my shot n she caught the ball.. Man wasn't happy throughout the duration of the relationship cause what I wanted wasn't there buh it really dawned on me when I eventually fell deeply in love with someone else who was (still is) in a relationship.. It affected me so deep tha I had to break up with my girlfriend last year n since then, man has been alone but still in love someone's babe for almost 7 months now... I think I'm hoping they break up soon sef..<br />

Here's the real problem, so I met this other Lady who fits into what I desire as a partner mentally but doesn't appeal much to me physically n I don't love her.. I'm sure of that! Not to give myself problem, I didn't ask her out not until yesterday night when our chat led to talk about me being single n babe said I shu comma date her! I shock for few seconds!.. Well, after small talk, she literally made me her out..<br />

Lessons From Marrying From A Rich Family.<br />

They say events come at you either as blessings or lessons. My marriage has been half of both. I married from a relatively richer family, and I must add that the fact that my wife came from a wealthy family, had absolutely no influence on my choice. I met her when her parents were not as wealthy as they would later become, and we were in love. At that time, my parents gave me a ‘mid-budget vehicle’ shortly after my graduation from a state University in Nigeria. And so, even though my father was not Dangote, he could afford quality life and education for his children. My wife’s parents over the years ascended in wealth and riches, and our wedding was relatively big. Dowry from her side of Nigeria was expectantly high, and I paid it with relative ease.<br />
<br />
Fast forward to seven years afterwards, when as a man your financial apron-strings to your parents has had to be cut even before leaving your parents’ house, as you make your way for yourself. I have come to learn that these apron-strings are easier to cut for a man than they are for women, especially women from comparatively well to do backgrounds, and hence the troubles for the unwise woman in this situation.<br />
Leaving the comfort of my father’s house in Ibadan, I could afford a mid-income apartment in a sub-urban part of Lagos, with few house gadgets and facilities. My business was doing great, and even though not luxury, our living was comfortable. But then, comfort is subjective, for no matter how much sacrifices I put into stocking my abode with items to ensure comfort for my wife, she and her parents always believed I could do better. They rarely visited, and when they did, would sit in a corner with their noses in the air, and as they leave shortly I would swear they will take a long bath in hand-sanitizers when they got home. Nonetheless, I did do better, and over the years things went on fine at the expense of my personal self-care.<br />
<br />
And then came that family-finance stifling recession. You assure yourself that things would be fine, and all you needed to do was double your hustle. Hustle doubled, and results reduced. Bills increased, and nagging followed suit. I have found out that a woman’s nagging on her husband could either be overt or covert. I’d take the overt nagging any day, over the quiet and obvious discontent. At least with the expressed discontent, you can target your financial attention. No matter how much you try, her communication reduces and you know why. She starts visiting her parents more often, and discussing financial choices with them. They start dropping hints into her bank account. She starts paying some bills and buying ‘luxury food-items’, but you cannot complain, even though you know where the money came from. Yet you double, nay, triple your hustle and hope for better days.<br />
<br />
And that’s when the problems started- A classic case of he who pays the piper. Her parents start giving instructions without consulting you. It starts with suggestions, and then downright directives on how your home should be run. But you are the man of the house and you direct otherwise. Short of them laughing at your effrontery, they are infuriated that you dare overrule their wishes. Who are you? You observe the gradual disappearance of your wife’s respect for you, while you notice that her parents don’t even factor your presence in any equation. You are vilified, and your wife is torn between obeying her parents’ wishes and abiding by your directives.<br />
<br />
I give you an example. This here school is where my children will go, because that’s what I can afford and they are happy in this school, you say. And the response through her, of course because they don’t call you directly but speak to your wife. They say, ‘what? That school? Okay, find a better school in your neighbourhood and let us know how much it costs.’ You get to know about this when your wife starts hunting for a new (expensive) school. I can’t afford that for the two of them, you say. ‘Don’t worry,’ she responds. ‘Mummy said she will pay for it.’ Now, domestic violence is a big matter to the state government and the news is rife with men sent to jail for wife battery. Otherwise, you would have sent those series of slaps in quick succession, enough to wipe her make-up clean off and change her phone network. Besides, if you had done that, her parents would be glad to take her back in their huge mansion, while you battle for your children’s custody or even access to them. Since you can’t react, you swallow your anger and put your foot down, albeit tenderly.<br />
<br />
But things did change for the better part of 2017, far better than before, and during the festive season you conveniently sent bags of rice and vegetable oil to them. Occasionally, you send recharge cards and cash, no matter how small to them, while maintaining your physical absence. You can now restrict your wife’s visit to them. I must add, that the respect has grown tremendously, and hilariously too. Now they call for permission before they send her on errands. Now their calls always go unanswered because I am busy, and they graciously understand, and just wanted to check up on you.<br />
<br />
Lessons: In family relationships, money is important. Your love is noticed when supported with money. Maintain your respect with strategic absence. Money used strategically buys your wife's (and in-laws) respect. Teach your wife to always reveal lesser information than necessary; the less you reveal to people (in-laws) about what goes on internally, the better, and more respect both of you get. There can only be one captain in a ship, and as a husband you need to put your foot down, sometimes diplomatically. Your ships must sail in one direction, and orders are from only one captain. As much as possible, reduce or eliminate holes in your matrimonial walls, to prevent matrimonial lizards from creeping in. No matter what you are going through, you will go through it. I knew that that phase would pass, and I pray I live to tell this tale to my kids when they are about to get married. Importantly, I have learnt that my boys should pick from a home and not a house with arrogant in-laws with the feeling of entitlement. And if you can avoid it, try not to marry a woman from a wealthy background, unless you can assure yourself of her humility.
