Sergi Roberto called Pereira to personally apologise

After making a strong tackle on Andreas Pereira in the first leg of the Copa del Rey semifinals against Valencia, Barcelona's Sergi Roberto has personally called the Brazilian to apologise for his actions.
The Catalan footballer has been subject to a handful of criticism due to his thigh-high challenge that has left Pereira out of football action for approximately a month.
After the game on Thursday, Sergi Roberto wished a speedy recovery to the Brazilian on social networks, but the Blaugrana wanted to speak personally to the player and emphasise that his challenge was absolutely involuntary.
Despite accepting Sergi's apology, the 25-year-old knows he will have a hostile reception in the second leg at the Estadio Mestalla.
However, on the bright side, his renewal is set to be finalised in the upcoming days.
Barcelona have already announced the details of his new deal, which will run until 2022, with a release of 500 million euros.
