Zidane: I want Isco to spend his whole life at Real Madrid
Zinedine Zidane has dismissed rumours linking Isco with a move away from Real Madrid, insisting that he wants the Spaniard in his team.
The No.22 had been one of the star men at the end of last season and the start of this one, but the return of the BBC front three has relegated him to the bench, sparking speculation that he might want to leave the Spanish capital.
"I want Isco [in my team] and I want him to spend his whole life here," Zidane told reporters when asked about the issue during his press conference on Friday.
"He is very good, as he has shown and as he will always show.
"[The idea of him leaving] is a lie, so we'll see if this issue goes away."
The focus was also on the upcoming matches, with Real Sociedad due to visit the Estadio Santiago Bernabeu on Saturday, before Paris Saint-Germain arrive for next Wednesday's match.
"[Real Sociedad] are a good team, but we want to play a good game of football," the coach said of this weekend's opponents.
"We know it will be a difficult match.
"I don't know what will happen on Wednesday [against PSG], but we are keen to do well."
Asked about the Copa del Rey final and the annual controversy over where is should be played, Zidane said that he wasn't thinking about that and insisted that any decision on the potential use of the Estadio Santiago Bernabeu would be made by the club.
