Pique could be suspended for between one and three games

If LaLiga consider the gesture of Gerard Pique in celebration of the goal he scored against Espanyol to be offensive, they could ban him for between one and three matches.

Pique's hands to his lips gesture, as though to silence the crowd, hasn't found favour in the corridors of power.

LaLiga have denounced him for it and will open a file, which could see any punishment upheld according to El Partidazo de la Cadena Cope.

The Barcelona centre-back remains a controversial player in the eyes of Los Periquitos, and he's been insulted at the venue for years, along with members of his family.
