Antonio Conte is in danger of being sacked by Chelsea, reports suggest, after tonight’s 4-1 defeat to Watford.
The former Juventus and Italy boss, who has been linked with a return to the Azzurri, was already under pressure heading into the match, and publicly demanded a vote of confidence.
However, his side were thrashed 4-1 at Vicarage Road this evening, and there is already speculation in the English media that this could be the end of the line for Conte.
Referencing the requested vote of confidence, The Telegraph states that “this crushing result sent out its own message” while The Sun says the former CT is left “staring into the abyss”.
While The Mirror notes that the travelling fans were vociferous in their support of the Coach, the newspaper also believes he is under increasing pressure.
