Carlos Bacca has confirmed that he wants to stay at Villarreal permanently after impressing on loan from Milan.
Bacca became the first Colombian to score 10+ goals in Europe’s top five Leagues for six straight seasons on Saturday, courtesy of his penalty in a 2-1 defeat to Real Betis.
“I’m very happy here and I want to stay,” the striker told AS.
“I hope the two clubs will find an agreement soon for everyone’s sake.”
The Spanish side have an option to buy the 31-year-old for €15m at the end of the season, but Calciomercato.com claims they are hoping to receive “a small discount” from Milan.
