Barcelona defender Digne suffers fractured finger in Catalan derby

Ernesto Valverde had hoped to keep Jordi Alba rested for Barcelona's midweek Copa del Rey semi-final return match but an injury to Lucas Digne prevented him from doing so, and the nature of the Frenchman's injury has now been confirmed.

Coming off in the 75th minute of the 1-1 draw, the left-back has been diagnosed with a fractured finger on his right hand.

Barcelona's official media confirmed the issue but were unable to determine how long Digne will be out for.
