A 7-year-old girl was burnt to death following an explosion reportedly caused by adulterated kerosene in Sapele, Delta state.
According to online reports, the girl bought kerosene yesterday then poured it in the stove only to notice a difference in the color. She then poured it into a bowl and confirmed that, indeed, there was something unusual about the color of the kerosene.
As a result, she became suspicious and put a little distance between her and the stove before lighting a matchstick. Immediately she did this, there was an explosion and the girl and the house went up in flames.  She was rushed to the hospital but didn't survive.

Other rooms in the building were also affected by the fire and tenants lost valuable properties.
